MARVEL STUDIOS’ ICONIC SHIELD LANDS IN MELBOURNE AND ACROSS THE GLOBE AS THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER


To mark the highly anticipated Original Series, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, premiering exclusively on Disney+ today, Captain America’s iconic shield has landed in Australia, through the power of light on the Melbourne Star.

The Marvel Studios’ legendary shield has also been spotted in several renowned landmarks across the globe including Singapore Flyer, Asia's largest observation wheel in Singapore, the London Eye in London (UK), the Luneur 1953 Flywheel in

Rome (Italy), La Grande Roue de Marseille in Marseille (France), MAAG Hall in Zurich (Switzerland), the Torre Latino in Mexico City (Mexico) and the Planetario in Buenos Aires (Argentina).


The Falcon and The Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson aka The Falcon, and Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier. The pair, who came together in the final moments of Avengers: Endgame, team up on a global adventure that tests their abilities — and their patience.


The all-new, six-episode series streams exclusively on Disney+ beginning Friday 19th March and continues the MCU Phase 4 as the second Marvel Studios television series, following the critically acclaimed WandaVision, available to stream on Disney+ now.


The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is directed by Kari Skogland with Malcolm Spellman serving as head writer, the six-episode series also stars Daniel Brühl as Zemo, Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter, and Wyatt Russell as John Walker. The Falcon and The Winter Soldier debuts on Disney+ March 19, 2021.
